Somatic Experiencing

50 Minutes  /   $125

Somatic Experiencing therapy is a body-oriented therapeutic model that focuses on healing trauma by addressing the physical sensations that arise in the body during traumatic experiences developed by Peter A. Levine. SE is based on the premise that the body has an innate ability to heal itself and that trauma symptoms are often the result of incomplete or interrupted physiological responses to traumatic events. By focusing on physical sensations and bodily experiences, SE aims to help individuals complete those responses and restore their natural state of being. SE emphasizes the importance of resourcing which involves identifying and strengthening internal and external resources that can help individuals cope with stress and trauma. These resources can include physical sensations, memories, emotions, and relationships. BY learning to access and utilize these resources individuals can increase their resilience and improve their quality of life. Somatic experiencing is a powerful tool for healing traumatic past experiences and living a more present life. Somatic experiencing can also be helpful for managing stress from the world we live in and becoming a more embodied individual.  Somatic experiencing can be used to treat a wide range of trauma related conditions such as PTSD/C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and chronic pain. It can be used in conjunction with other forms of therapy or as a stand alone treatment. There are immense possibilities within somatic sessions for healing, growing your capacity for body connection, and learning more about who you are!

Our sessions will look like accessing the nervous system by opening with grounding and/or orienting to the space around you. During the session, I will use different modalities for resolving trauma and the symptoms you are experiencing such as pendulation, titration, grounding/orienting, and resourcing. We will end the session with grounding and/or orienting again and whatever else you need to feel supported within closing our session together. Sessions are done virtually on Zoom Meetings or can be in person if you are in the Denver, Colorado region.

Birth Chart Reading

Single Birth Chart: $100

An astrological birth chart is a map of the planets on the exact day, time, and location you were born.  Within your chart, you will find all the planets and celestial objects tracked in astrology, along with the zodiac signs they were occupying at the exact moment of your birth. Your birth chart can provide you with personalized insight into your personality attributes, your family dynamics, your career, your potential love life, friendships, experiences, and other possibilities!

To be able to provide you with your birth chart, I will need your birth day, exact birth time, and location of your birth. Once I receive this information, I will provide you with a photo of your natal chart and an explanation of your placements! We will schedule an hour long session on Zoom Meetings to go over your birth chart together that way I can answer any specific questions you have to the best of my ability!

You DO NOT have to get a birth chart reading to do somatic experiencing work with me, but if you decide to  book a birth chart reading with your initial somatic experiencing session I will provide you with a discount for your birth chart reading.

Individual Yoga Session

Hourly Yoga Session: Sliding Scale ($10-$30)

Yoga is a spiritual discipline that brings harmony between the breath, mind, and body. The word 'Yoga' is deprived from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj' meaning 'to join', 'to yoke', or 'to unite'. Yoga uses physical postures or asanas, breathing, and meditation to improve overall health. Yoga has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, mental clarity, strength, balance, and body awareness.  How does yoga help us in recovery from trauma? Yoga helps the autonomic nervous system adapt better to triggers and stimuli. It reduces the impact of exaggerated stress responses such as fight, flight, or freeze. Youa works with both the mind and body while also helping forge a sense of safety from which individuals can draw comfort and support. Within trauma, many people feel disconnected from their spirit and their bodies. Trauma-informed yoga combines the mind and the body impact of trauma with spiritual health and consciousness. Within trauma-informed yoga, the student is given options of how they would like to stay in each asanas providing safety within the ability to listen to the body and make conscious choices. It is a way to safely connect with your body, regaining any control, love or acceptance that may have been threatened during a traumatic experience.

Your personal yoga class will be designed based on your current symptoms, your physical capability, and what goals you have within our work. At this current time, I am able to teach trauma informed hatha, yin, and restorative yoga. Classes are an hour long and will be done together live. Afterwards, I will send you a video of the class we did together, so you can come back to it in your own time as well. I highly recommend coupling somatic experiencing work with yoga classes. You DO NOT have to do book both sessions though if you are only interested in somatic experiencing sessions. If you are only interested in personal yoga classes please reach out. I do plan on doing group yoga classes around Colorado in Spring of 2025.
